loading of film is simplicity itself- put the filmin, extend up to the mark, close camera, and the film advances to position 1, and when it reaches 37, auto rewind ! Viewfinder very easy to use, prived you keep your nose out of the way ! The Zeiss lenses really are superb, the only ones I haven't tried are the super expensive 16mm Hologon, and the 35mm F2. Opinion: personally, i love the camera i also have the G1, which I keep fitted with the 21mmf2.8, and the special viewfinder you get some amazing razor sharp images with this combination ! Alto gether, an ideal travel camera- the 90mm and the 45mm F2 are amazing lenses, very sharp. very good battery lifeĬons: you need to understand how the contrast detection works- if it doesn't lock focus in landscape mode, shift to portrait, and it will lock focus just a knack of working with the camera. Superb viewfinder, balanced for each lens fitted. The Contax G2 is often considered the worlds most advanced rangefinder camera and is recommended by many photographers as one of the best 35mm film cameras. Contax G2, is probably the best 35mm rangefinder ever made.
